Royal Greenwich Trust School Celebrates Record Breaking Results

Royal Greenwich Trust School’s Year 13 students are today celebrating record breaking results, with 87% of students accepting places at their first choice university and the remainder going into employment or onto apprenticeships.

Additionally, over half of students got at least Distinction or above for every grade, with more than one in ten getting the maximum grade available. One such student is Riley, who is delighted to have achieved Distinction* in Level 3 Engineering. Of his time at RGTS, he heaped praise on his teachers who “focused on getting students into the right mindset to be successful”.

RGTS Sixth Form specialises in Business and Finance, Engineering and Construction & Civil Engineering. With unmatched facilities, the sixth form is establishing itself as the destination of choice for aspirational students looking for a clear path into future careers.

One such student who has his eyes firmly fixed on fulfilling his potential is Marlon. He will soon be taking up a prestigious Degree Apprenticeship at Global, one of the world’s leading media & entertainment groups and owner of household brands like Capital FM.

Elizabeth, also celebrating top grades in Engineering despite only moving to the UK in 2019, is thrilled that she can now take her next step towards joining the tech sector. She graduates from RGTS to take up a place at the University of Hertfordshire to study Computer Science.

Speaking about the many successes across the year group, Headteacher Caroline Toye shared her thoughts on what was another emotional day for students and staff alike. “We are incredibly proud of our students’ achievements this year. It is brilliant to share their joy at achieving these wonderful results and to hear about their varied plans for the future.”

“I have been overwhelmed by the passion with which they speak about their time at RGTS Sixth Form, the respect they have for the quality of their teachers and the incredible memories they have made.”

“I want to wish every RGTS graduate well for the future and I look forward to hearing about their accomplishments in the years to come.”
