GCSE students recently packed into the famous Shakespeare’s Globe on the south bank of the River Thames.
Shakespeare's Globe is a realistic true-to-history reconstruction of the Globe Theatre, an Elizabethan playhouse first built in 1599 for which William Shakespeare wrote his plays.
Students were treated to a magical performance of Macbeth, one of the texts they are studying for their English Literature exam.
They shared this exciting experience with a packed house. The audience was littered with great and the good of the acting world, with many famous faces also in attendance.
This was a truly memorable night for our students and one that will live long in the memory.
